While wearing black wins the award for formality, if worn properly, wearing white screams sophistication. When wearing white, try to keep cosmetic choices soft and feminine, but if you are feeling like a vixen and want to make an entrance, go for a bold lip, like a ravishing red or a fabulous fuchsia. Remember to keep eye makeup light if wearing a darker lip.
Fashion has dictated that wearing white is no longer just for the summer months. That means the old adage of not wearing white after Labor Day no longer applies. This news is music to my ears since I love the look of an all-white ensemble or white apparel in general.
White boots dominated runways and stores last season making them one of the hottest looks of the year. Wearing white footwear definitely makes you stand out in a crowd and can easily elevate most looks. Consider investing in a white coat or jacket to effortlessly compliment white footwear.

It is fairly easy to accessorize this pleasing neutral since anything goes with it. Go with your mood and have fun with your white apparel by pairing your favorite additions with this look. If you have accessories that don’t seem to fit well with other looks, it’s fairly safe to say they can probably be worn with white.

When wearing white, consider the activities involved with the event you may be attending and the venue in which it is being held. It’s important to remember that most marks will easily show on white fabrics. Wearing stained whites detracts from the crisp image it relays, so keep your look classy by keeping your whites clean.
White can be unforgiving so be certain the fit is right for your body type. I tend to go up a size in some white articles of clothing to mask areas I don’t want revealed. The same goes with wearing the appropriate undergarments for your skin color when wearing white. Wear undergarments in a color closest to the color of your skin shade.
If your hair has been recently colored or tinted, humidity could cause color run-off from your hair onto your white apparel so beware. The same goes with some self-tanning products.
When caring for your whites, its best to read the attached care label. Not all whites are bleachable and special precautions may need to be made when cleaning stains from your white garments.

If you're reluctant to wear white but really want to incorporate it into your look, opt for a white shirt or blouse. Be certain to iron or steam it if appropriate for the type of top you are wearing, but the most important thing is to make certain your white garment is clean and unstained.

If you are hosting an event or party this season, all white parties are all the rage. Keep the menu “white-friendly” for your guests. Consider serving white wines and light colored beverages. Be cognizant of sauces, gravy’s or desserts that easily melt. Be sure to thoroughly clean all seating areas for your guests.
I’d enjoy seeing how you put together an all-white look, so please share your photos!
